Ara Gambling Service is a charity and the National Gambling Treatment Provider for Wales and we provide free support and counselling for anyone that is affected by gambling harms.
It is thought that some 40,000 people in Wales are suffering from disordered gambling. This does not take into account those people who are at a ‘tipping point’ or those loved ones who are living with the impact of gambling.
Our new project https://thesixtoten.co.uk/ puts affected others at the centre of care to help them overcome any challenges that they may face. Our mission is to create a free, holistic support and a safe space for those affected to help mitigate the harms through intervention, prevention and importantly building resilience for the future.
Through the Six To Ten Project individuals will work one to one with our dedicated specialist project/support workers receiving support for issues from housing, financial, legal to mental and physical wellbeing.
Our team will not only be there to find the right help, but broker and liaise with other organisations and professionals where possible to ensure the appropriate level of care, as and when needed.
