The North Gwent Cardiac Rehabilitation & Aftercare Charity is running a FREE photo contest from now until 15 August. The theme is “My Happy Place in Nature”, so we’re looking for photos that bring people joy and celebrate the healing powers of the natural world. We’re especially keen to involve local wellbeing groups, so we’d love to receive entries from walking groups, wild swimmers, allotments, community gardens, park runs and all the other amazing groups and individuals working to help improve people’s mental and physical wellbeing by getting out into nature. The competition is free to enter, and open to people of all ages. All we ask is that the photos are taken in Wales. And to avoid problems with consent, please avoid photos where people can be clearly identified: photos taken from behind or with people in the background, or photos showing parts of people, such as hands or feet are fine! Closing date for entries is 15 August. Entries will be judged by a panel of experts, with 12 winners selected to appear in our 2026 Photo Calendar. The overall winner will take the star spot on the cover! All 12 winners will receive a copy of the calendar.
