Torfaen Play Service - Torfaen Summer FunFest
The Play Service are delivering a wide range of free daily play opportunities from Monday 29th July to Thursday 22nd August
This includes 13 Food and Fun Camps from schools including a transition focused camp at Cwmbran High school. All children attending the camps will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch from the schools catering team. The camps place an emphasis on play, wellbeing, nutrition, physical activity and mindfulness. Please note that children are required to be pre booked into the camp and that we have received a high volume of applications.
4 daily Play and Respite sites will take for children with disabilities, behavioural needs and complex needs. Children are required to be pre booked onto the play and respite sites.
A Play and Activities Camp will take place for children aged 8- 12 at Cwmbran Stadium along with a number of open access play opportunities for children aged 5 – 11 years in community settings . The Cwmbran stadium camp and the open access play provisions require registration on the first day the child wishes to attend on site. Free healthy snacks will be provided on all provisions.
Over 160 children who require additional support will be attending the provisions. A workforce of over 340 people has been recruited to run the provisions, this includes 165 volunteers.
