Part-time, Voluntary Position .
to provide a service to the disabled and mobility impaired people in and around Torfaen. Drivers are expected to assist people to and from their homes including wheelchair bound customers as well as being responsible for their safety and care on the minibus. Other responsibilities are to carry out safety checks on their vehicle, keeping the vehicle clean and taking fares. A calm, patient attitude is required and experience with older people would be an advantage
Applicants must have a catergory D or D1 driving licence (automatically on licences issued prior to Jan 1997). Applicants will have to undergo a brief driving and customer care assessment and have a DBS check before they are appointed. Training and uniform provided.
Hours/ Days of work are flexible and can be adjusted to suit a your lifestyle, ideally 1- 3 half days per week .
